Fourth time lucky for Julian Barnes

Julian Barnes has won the 2011 Man Booker Prize, for The Sense of an Ending after being nominated on three previous occasions (for Flaubert’s Parrot, England, England, and Arthur and George). It’s a popular choice, and a deserved one.
