City Sages: Baltimore

In late April City Sages: Baltimore, an anthology of Baltimore writers, edited by Jen Michalski, was published by CityLit Press. The anthology presents a broad spectrum of our city’s talent from the world famous to the lesser known: through Edgar Allen Poe, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, Frederick Douglass, Alice McDermott, Laura Lippman and Anne Tyler, to newer names like Michael Kimball, Maud Casey, and Jessica Anya Blau, and up-and-comers like Yours Truly. Several events associated with the launch of the collection are scheduled in and around Baltimore and details can be on its Face Book page.
First up is a reading at Barnes and Noble’s North Charles Street branch with Jessica Anya Blau, Madeleine Mysko, Michael Kimball and Jen Michalski on Tuesday May 18th at 7pm.
This will be followed by a reading at Ukazoo Books in Towson on Saturday May 29th at 3pm with Lalita Noronha, Betsy Boyd, Caryn Coyle and Jane Satterfield.
On Saturday 19th June, The Ivy Book Shop will host a book-signing between 1-3pm, which will be attended by several of the ‘sages’ and ‘sage-ettes’ including Ron Tanner, Madeleine Mysko, Patricia Schultheis, Lia Purpura, Rosalia Scalia and myself. Please drop by!
