Christmas Eve Blether….

I finally have some time to google around and share a blether about literary goings-on…. The Guardian blog has an interesting post on the decade’s best unread books – books that should have been widely appreciated but failed to catch fire. While doing some research on the fine art of editing, I came across this hilarious (and, sadly, accurate) analysis of the opening pages of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code, by an Edinburgh linguistic professor – yes, I knew instinctively the writing was bad and I now know precisely why….
