After spending a week away, catching up on, well, as little as possible, it’s Monday morning and back to work. So, what’s been happening while I’ve been gone? Author, and self-professed dandy, Sebastian Horsley, was denied entry into the US for “moral turpitude,” a phrase you don’t often come across in conversations with government officials. I wonder what would happen if they started denying entry due to bad grammar

Poets and Writers, a somewhat staid yet necessary magazine, has just jazzed up their website, making it a little easier to navigate toward disappointment – those competitions you send your stuff to and never win.
Scottish writer and comedienne, A. L. Kennedy, (pictured above, photo by Lloyd Smith) author of Day, was profiled at length in Scotland on Sunday. She also has a very amusing web-site.
