A Literary Spring

April 13, 2009 | No Comments

I spent this past Saturday at the one-day Conversations and Connections Conference in Washington D.C., meeting fellow wordsmiths amid a frantic round of panels and readings. While there I was fortunate to read alongside poet Gregg Moson, whose new collection, Season of Flowers and Dirt is now available from Goose River Press.

Next Saturday, 18 April, Baltimore’s City-Lit Festival will be held at the Enoch Pratt Central Library, and I’ll be participating in a panel about first-time authors alongside Jessica Anya Blau, Eric Goodman, Elissa Weisman and Ben Shaberman. The day long festival of literary panels and performances by poets and musicians culminates in readings by National-Book Awarding winning poet Mark Doty, and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Diaz. The event is free and open to the public and if you live in the Baltimore/Washington area, I hope to see you there.
